U.S. LawShield is proud to sponsor 2A-friendly organizations across the country like the American Council of Second Amendment Lawyers (“ACSAL”). ACSAL is a nonprofit corporation comprised of a national network of attorneys who strive to preserve and protect the Second Amendment. ACSAL accomplishes this goal through continuing legal education, allowing members to best represent their clients by studying and challenging current laws affecting the Second Amendment.
ACSAL’s core values are:
- Protecting the unalienable right of self-preservation;
- Providing cutting-edge training on all aspects of firearms and Second Amendment law;
- Becoming the nexus of Second Amendment attorneys and an expert knowledge base; and
- Protecting Americans’ civil liberties through zealous legal representation and tenacious defense of liberty.
ACSAL recently held its inaugural continuing legal education seminar in San Antonio, Texas to a resounding success. Multiple attorneys from several different states discussed a wide array of topics including: self-defense trial strategies; defending law enforcement officers in court; firearms and family laws; the current status of the Second Amendment jurisprudence; litigating against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; and legislative attacks against the Second Amendment.
U.S. LawShield would like to congratulate ACSAL Founder and Texas LawShield Independent Program Attorney Emily Taylor for her selection as the 2019 Outstanding Program Attorney award, presented to her in San Antonio by U.S. LawShield Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel Randy Macchi.
Ms. Taylor fights every single day to preserve the right to keep and bear arms — not only through her tireless efforts for her clients and U.S. LawShield members, but also through her years of consistently providing invaluable testimony to various legislative bodies regarding self-defense laws.
