Children's Online Privacy Protection Act Notice
Our sites and services are intended for general audiences and are not targeted to persons under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not use our website. U.S. Law Shield does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen or utilize plug-ins or ad networks that collect personal information through child-directed third party websites or online services. If U.S. Law Shield learns that it has collected personal information from a child under 13, U.S. Law Shield will take steps to promptly delete the information. Personal information is collected from members only after obtaining consent, which is obtained when members are prompted for information when subscribing to the services, by using US LAW SHIELD’s website, or requesting further information. Personally-identifiable information is not collected when a user simply browses the website.
US LAW SHIELD may contact members about offers and opportunities from US LAW SHIELD, to provide educational and informational materials, to conduct surveys, and gather feedback. This privacy statement does not extend to any information that is beyond the control of US LAW SHIELD.
Enrolling in US LAW SHIELD’s subscription service may require a member to provide certain personal information and enter into a Legal Services Agreement. Nothing herein is intended to modify the terms in the Legal Services Agreement.
US LAW SHIELD’s websites use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”), to evaluate the use of the US LAW SHIELD site. Google Analytics places a third party cookie on your computer that is then used to compile reports of visitor traffic and internet usage. Google analytics does not have a database of individual profiles for each visitor and only collects aggregate data.
US LAW SHIELD uses log files comprising of non-personally identifiable information to analyze trends, administer the site, track movements throughout the site, calculate the number of document and file downloads, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
Information provided to US LAW SHIELD will be protected by US LAW SHIELD and not sold or rented to any unrelated third parties without the express consent of the information provider, except that US LAW SHIELD may disclose data to its affiliates and business partners who have established similar privacy standards, when legally obligated to do so, or if disclosure is required to protect the rights over US LAW SHIELD, US LAW SHIELD’s members, or the users of US LAW SHIELD’s services. US LAW SHIELD may also share aggregate demographic data that does not contain any personally identifiable information.
Validation may be required to obtain your membership from US LAW SHIELD. This validation may require verifying your information with a third party as described in the US LAW SHIELD Privacy Statement. US LAW SHIELD may disclose the information provided to the extent necessary to obtain verification.

Forums, Bulletin Boards, Testimonials, Chat Rooms, and Surveys
Personal information submitted through a forum, bulletin board, testimonial, or chat room operated by US LAW SHIELD may be collected, used, and read by third parties, including other users.
US LAW SHIELD is not responsible for any information submitted through these services. We occasionally request information from customers via surveys. Participation in these customer surveys is voluntary. Survey information is used to improve this web site and our services.
US LAW SHIELD protects information both online and off-line. The transmission of information, including any payment information, is encrypted and protected using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Stored customer information is kept in a secure environment where access is restricted to employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example billing administration or the development team). Employees are required to use password-protected screen-savers and keep their computers up-to-date.
Choice / Opt Out
Members may occasionally receive information on products, services, and special deals from US LAW SHIELD or may receive informational newsletters. Members are given the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having information used for purposes not directly related to the US LAW SHIELD’s service at the point where the information is requested.
Members may also elect not to receive additional promotional communications using the opt-out link provided in each promotional email or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Customers may not opt-out of receiving service announcement updates as they contain important security information about the services.
US LAW SHIELD reserves the right to amend this privacy statement at any time. Any amendment will be made by posting the changes to the website. Members must check the website periodically to be aware of any changes to the privacy statement. Information we may collect.
Customer Information. Customer information includes identifying information such as your name, address, telephone number, employer, social security number, income, age, and demographic data about you. It also includes information about your transactions with us such as claims history, premiums, and insurance coverage.
Financial Information. Financial information is information covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act and information such as your credit history, credit card usage, income, assets, and loan records. It also includes information from consumer reporting agencies, public records, and data collection agencies.
Health Information. Health information includes medical history provided by doctors, hospitals or other health care providers, other insurance companies, and you. Health information will be collected, as authorized by you, or otherwise permitted by law, as we deem appropriate to determine eligibility for coverage, to process claims, and to prevent fraud.
What we do with the information we obtain.
The nonpublic information we may collect as described above may be disclosed, where permitted by law, in order to offer you product and services. Examples of disclosures permitted by law would include disclosures to organizations who provide claims administration, underwriting, audits, investigation or policyholder services. We may use affiliated and nonaffiliated parties to perform these services. Services also include protecting against fraud and companies who maintain software for us.

Independent Sales Agents and Agents in General.
Some sales agents who represent us are independent, and your independent sales agent may gather and retain customer information, financial information, and/or health information about you.
